We are an all-volunteer food pantry and garden based in Gainesville, FL. We support our communities’ right to healthy and nutritious food by distributing free food through delivery and in-person services, and by growing some of the food ourselves!

In-person Pantry
We run an in-person food pantry at the Civic Media Center (433 S. Main St.) every second Tuesday of the month. See our upcoming dates below.

Sign-up begins at 2 PM and the pantry opens around 3 PM. No ID or proof-of-address required. Always FREE, and always you-pick your own groceries. We will run until 5:30 PM, while supplies last.
Delivery Pantry!
We are now accepting requests for our free monthly grocery delivery service! Our next delivery season will run from August-October. Our delivery request window will be open from August 1- 15. We will only respond to requests made during this period. If you reached out to us (email/text/call) before Aug 1, submit a new request during our sign-up window to ensure your request will be seen.How to submit your request:Head to gnvfgs.org/get-food/ to find our online request form.You can also leave a voicemail at our number: (352) 388-1568. Please leave us a voicemail, as we are not able to staff the phone for long shifts at a time, and voicemails are easier to process.

We operate two food pantries a month; an in-person pantry on the 2nd Tuesday of every month and a delivery pantry on the last Thursday of every month. We need volunteers to help us run smoothly.Most role training can be done on-site during our pantries. Training for roles that require more knowledge can be arranged with an existing organizer/experienced volunteer. We encourage you to learn about all the roles you have interest in, even if you do not do them regularly!

We are currently in the process of revamping our community garden plots at the McRorie Community Garden.
